Helena Goodwyn

Helena Goodwyn is Assistant Professor of English Literature in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Northumbria University. Her research interests include nineteenth-century literature, periodical culture, women's writing, and book history. She has been the recipient of a number of awards relating to her research which has been published in the Journal of Victorian Culture, Women’s Writing, Nineteenth Century Gender Studies, and Victorian Popular Fiction Journal. Elsewhere her work has featured in British Writers, Popular Literature, and New Media Innovation, 1820–45 (EUP: 2024), Women Writing Men: 1689 to 1869 (Routledge: 2022), and Margaret Harkness: Writing Social Engagement, 1880-1921 (MUP: 2018).
